Vibes Social Network was born from a shared frustration and a bold idea. While studying abroad in Ireland, Hana Kennedy and Megan Chapman met as college students navigating the local nightlife scene. Time after time, they found themselves waiting in long lines, paying steep cover charges, and ending up in venues that didn’t have the right vibe. They realized the same problem existed everywhere—there was no easy way to know where to go and when.

What started as a final-year project quickly turned into something bigger. After returning to Canada, Hana and Megan saw the potential to redefine nightlife discovery and took their idea to Invest Ottawa’s Ignition Program (Cohort 22), where they developed Vibes into a real, working platform. With the help of talented developers from Algonquin College’s Mobile App Design & Development Program, Vibes became more than just a concept—it became a game-changer for nightlife.
